presents

Poor little me, I was afraid we would spend Christmas without my Mom and my sister Mila, who went to Poland on the 21th. But luckily they just got back in time and I was so excited that I didn't even take a nap!
And then things really started to happen:
my auntie Inga celebrated her 29th birthday, my Mom got back from the train station and started cleaning and decorating, my Dad was wrapping presents (?), my grandparents were cooking, and I was trying very hard to piss off Mila (which was easy, since she was pretty tired from the trip).
But at some stage things (and people) started to fall into place and eventually at about 5 o'clock, everybody, from the smallest person (my cousin Karl) to the oldest (my granddad Janusz) to the tallest one (Karl's dad) sat around our cute little Christmas tree giving out and receiving loooots of presents. My Mom really didn't think we would make it - she told my Dad afterwards she was already thinking about hiding somewhere pretending it wasn't Christmas, hehe.
In the end we had such a wonderful time and the only sad thing was that my grandparents Don and Michael and my aunt Margot and her family from California weren't here. We thought about them though and sent them our best wishes...
After a great meal Mila and me fell asleep at the same time while Mom was still singing the Goodnight song - she said that never happend before and it was like an additional present!
Merry Christmas!!!
