my fest

Here is proof that we weren't involved in any crazy stuff at the 1st of May in Berlin- Kreuzberg.
(Mila for SURE wasn't, because she was in Dresden with Oma and Opa!) Even though the newspapers were full today of stories about violent left- and right- wing radicals fighting with each other and the police in the streets - we had a pretty peaceful afternoon. My aunt Inga was with us and she took some pics - and I think she was glad to have me around just in case, because I'm PRETTY strong by now!
But to be honest: according to my mom, the crazy stuff involving burning cars and bloody body parts (sorry...) did happen - but much later at night, when we were already asleep.

PS: "MyFest" in this case means "my party" AND "may party" in German. And it is the attempt of the people who live close to Oranienstrasse (where always the biggest riots at the 1st of May take place) to keep this day festive and fun and not loose it to violence. Lots of concerts take place, there are clowns and acrobats performing, kids can do crafty and funny things (face painting included) and you can eat all kinds of great and exotic food. The last 3 years the concept worked out great during the day, but not at night - Bummer!
