carnival of cultures

The title sounds pretty interesting, doesn't it? This 'Carnival' takes place every year at Pentecost.
On the website my Mom found this colorful quote: 'When the lust for life and the delight of colors unite and old and young are dancing in the streets together and creating a festival of tolerance and variety then Berlin is celebrating the Carnival of Cultures. During the four-day festival 1.3 million visitors will experience the capital at its best: cosmopolitan, dynamic, buoyant, diverse and colorful.' And this sounds even more interesting!
The Carnival lasts about 4 days and lots of people attend it. Today the Children's festival took place in a big park near where we live.
After spending a quiet morning with dad on the playground, we all went there in the afternoon. I took rides on the carousel and checked out an interesting boat which I thought was going to take off - but it didn't. In the end we fled the place pretty early, because there were just too many people in one place - and dad got really hungry...
Too bad Mila wasn't here, but she went with her best friend Charline and her Mom to the Island of 'Föhr' in the North Sea. And since the weather is supposed to stay really good, she probably will have wonderful 10 days there! Lucky for her, that there is a one week break at school...
